International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church

Please join us in praying for those who are suffering for their faith in Christ.

For those who live in countries where Christianity thrives, it seems alien to think that there are places in this world where someone can still be murdered for their faith in Christ.

The first Sunday in November has historically been set apart by many believers as “All Saints Day,” which is a day to remember saints and martyrs in Christ. We at Mission Words are heartbroken to learn of the scope of persecution still happening to Christians around the world.

Open Doors is a ministry that monitors the persecution of Christians around the world and shared these facts about last year alone:

  • More than 260 million Christians living in places where they experience high levels of persecution.
  • 2,983 Christians were killed for their faith.
  • 9,488 churches and other Christian buildings were attacked.
  • 3,711 believers were detained without trial, arrested, sentenced or imprisoned.

Please join the staff at Mission Words in praying for protection, comfort and peace for those who suffer for their faith in Christ.
